TribeTwelve DVD Overhaul Announcement

So, a lot of things have changed since I first proposed the TribeTwelve DVD. Initially, I had come up with a single two disk set, similar to what Marble Hornets had done with their Season 1 DVD. It later was changed to three disks, but then I had the revamp and the single DVD set idea was not looking viable anymore. So, due to longer video lengths and numerous changes to the future of the series, there's likely going to be at least two sets of DVDs, a Part 1 and a Part 2, each containing two to three disks. As much as I don't want to do it, there will have to be more than one set because it's the only way to include all the content I want for you guys to see without cutting corners. I’m planning for a shit ton of special features: commentary, behind the scenes, bloopers, deleted scenes, tutorials, refurbished original episodes, extra videos, and secret videos, as well as a bunch of other special features. And not to alarm anyone, but there may even be a Part 3 if I still can't fit everything in the first two sets. However, I still think it's too early to judge because I'm not entirely sure of how much I can even fit on a single DVD. When it comes time to actually create the DVDs, I'll do everything in my power to keep the cost and size as low as possible while maintaining the HD video quality and special features, so please bear with me. I'm also worried about cost. It's going to take a lot of money to make these sets, as well as cost you guys to buy. I'll probably do some sort of Kickstarter in the future if need be to help pay for the process. So, I’m thinking the cost per set will range somewhere from $15 - $35, considering all of the work I’ll need to put into making it all, how many actual discs I’ll have in each set, and all the bonus content I want to include. So, for the foreseeable future, the TribeTwelve DVD plan is going to be two sets of two to three DVDs.

Feedback would be very appreciated. This is a big undertaking for me and I'd really like some fan input. I’m still working out exactly what content I plan to put on the DVD, so if you would like to see something in particular or something I haven't mentioned, feel free to message me with your request!

  2. Why not just do it as a digital download? Save time, money, and not have to worry about how many disks it will be!

    1. Because if I was the person buying, I'd much rather prefer a physical copy. Being able to have a real version of the series that you can hold in your hands like that is what most of the fans want, and I think it is a worthwhile endeavor. Plus, it's a nice thing to have on a resume. ;)

  5. You have my money, my sword, my axe, my bow, my tumblr, my soul, and my Harley Quinn figurine collection if that's what it takes. I'll buy every set no matter what, because holy crap this show is amazing. (And maybe if I see bloopers with the Observer screwing up I'll finally stop having nightmares about him imeanwhat)

  10. Sounds cool. It'll be interesting if EMH and Marble Hornets form a Slenderman boxed set although this might be too ambitious.

  11. It would need to have the twitter/formspring stuff included on it, as they're important parts of the story. That said, I'll buy 12. plus another one to watch.

  13. Aw, I would really like to have this DVD, but if you are going to sell it on Ebay or something, I think I won't be able to buy it. No because of the money, but that, it's just impossible to buy from Ebay to my country, Czech Republic. I am the only one fan of Tribe Twelve in this shitty country, so ... I dunno what to do :'(

You have my money, my sword, my axe, my bow, my tumblr, my soul, my twitter, my Facebook, my email, and pretty much the entirety of my house if I have to I'll sell everything I own to buy 2 sets of dvds and support the kickstarter WE MUST MAKE THIS HAPPEN AT ALL COST. You could also do a preorder bonus as an incentive to order early to help with cost.

  15. What I suggest is you add a normal edition and a special edition. In the special edition, have a real life version of the Journal, a drawing or writing of Rikki's, and maybe a watch. I also suggest requesting a TribeTwelve video game...?

You also have my sword, dagger, and knives. Don't have a bow or ax. I suggest asking some of the others for those.
