"The Live Stream Incident" and A Special Announcement

IT IS FINALLY FUCKING DONE.

(SCURVY SPOILERS AHOY, watch the above video before reading)

After weeks and weeks of tedious editing and rendering, this massive 30 minute, 1.5GB video is complete and uploaded. The shots were tricky, the planning was intricate, and the editing was grueling, but it's finally been completed and posted. What really took the bulk of my time to edit was the scene where I get teleported around to previous videos. I had that teleport scene planned for a long time, at least since one of my first rewrites of TribeTwelve's plot. The most difficult bit to pull off was the hotel scene, which took up nearly 3/4 of my entire editing time to execute correctly and polish as best I could, easily proving to be the most monotonous and tiresome editing process I have ever committed myself to performing. Hope you enjoyed the video, even though it was a bit lengthy. Because Stickam didn't record the livestream on my account, I decided to include as much as I could from what I had recorded on my camera so that people who weren't there to witness it live could see what happened.

Now, for the announcement that I was talking about...

This is the end of Season 1, or Part 1, or the first half of TribeTwelve, whatever you want to call it. Now, don't jump to any conclusions over this. Just because there are 40 videos now, doesn't mean that the series will conclude with 80; there may be more or less. I'm really not quite sure yet myself how many videos the rest of the plot will entail, but I'm very excited to make them regardless. I'm going to take another short hiatus or so from making videos, and by short I really mean a month or two as usual. I'm allowing myself this time to work on a section of the series that has only been planned out but not written down yet. If any of you are curious, it's this mysterious document that I talked about in a previous post. I've been working hard with my writers for years on it and it's looking positively marvelous.

More updates on that will come in the future.

Christmas Editing

He sees you when you're sleeping.
He knows when you're awake.
I'm not talking about Santa.

Or am I?
Happy holidays everybody!

For the past three and a half weeks, I've been editing the climax of this upcoming Livestream video and it's really taking a toll on me, but worth every second of effort.

If I were you and really excited for the next TribeTwelve episode, I would rewatch the entire series, at least everything since The Envelope video. The new episode will contain certain callbacks from older videos that will blow your mind. It's well worth it, I guarantee you. Plus, having a watch party for Christmas sounds like a swell idea if you ask me. I'm nearing the completion of this whopping 30 minute video, and I'm hoping to get it out by Christmas night at the least. If I can't start rendering the final project tonight, I'll be working to get it started Christmas Day because I really have nothing to do on Christmas. I don't really get physical presents, but the only thing I really want for Christmas is to see your reactions to the video. If worse comes to worst, I'll aim for a Friday release date, on the 28th. Once it's ready, I'll tweet when it's going up on the TribeTwelve Twitter so you can get even more hyped and get ready your F5ing finger.

Until then, enjoy the holidays and the false apocalypse.

The November 11th Livestream and News on the Upcoming Livestream Video

Sorry about the livestream being so terrible. It didn't go exactly as I planned because at the time, INTERCEPTION couldn't render properly and errored out each attempt. It was supposed to play at 11:15 but didn't work, so I just manycammed it playing in premiere at midnight. I guess a lot of people were lagged out of the chat and many didn't see much at all, I'm not even sure the livestream recorded properly, damn Stickam. Last time I'm using their service. It could have been much, much better - but too many technical factors messed up the result. Anyway, the livestream video on my camera will be uploaded to make up for the stream difficulties and frankly, that's what I worked the hardest on. I'm disappointed, but all in all it worked in the end.

So, to recap:

1. INTERCEPTION was supposed to play during the livestream, but for some reason only the audio played.
2. The livestream didn’t record, only 38 seconds. I guess that was all Stickam thought it was worth. No matter, I have it mostly recorded on my camera. I’ll upload the good bits and then the special part when I went off screen.
3. I've been working on the livestream video since the 11th and it's requiring a lot of time to do, mainly due to specific effects that require hours of tedious patience. This may be the longest TribeTwelve video to date 25+ minutes long, since it includes the best bits from the stream. Every second of the video will be worth it, however.
4. If Premiere allows me to render this behemoth in one piece, I'm planning to have it uploaded at least by Christmas, but no guarantees.
